That's very strange. If I understand you correctly Navigation doesn't come up on the iDrive screen?

A DVD should have come with your car loaded with maps, all you need to do is pop it into the slot in your center console where it says 'DVD'.

When you get to the main menu on the iDrive screen, to get to Navigation all you need to do is push the controller to the right.

The manual will give you the most helpful information on how to program everything, but its really intuitive.

Go into the sticky section of this forum, in there you will find a link to download misc owners manuals of our cars.... possibly tied to your car, but if not pick any car's as long as it's the same nav. Owners manual has the instructions on how to use the system....If I had the link I'd paste it, but I dont...

Just read the post above this one... I have no idea how to get nav through that option...

That is my take. Sounds like there's no DVD loaded...

It sounds like you don't have navigation, or else you have "Navigation: Business" instead of "Professional".

I never heard of a 3-series with iDrive with no navigation at all, but then again in the US we all get "Professional" as our only option. Is your screen square or rectangular? Do you have a slot for a navigation disk?
