It has "similar" density of the VRSF HD. I'm choosing my words carefully here.

The ETS 7" and VRSF 7" HD are a close match on density and size. Key word close. I'm not favoring or biasing anyone on purpose.

For the record I didn't want to make this into an ETS VS VRSF discussion. It was just to point out how important density is and how much size isn't everything.

I run the VRSF 7.5" race intercooler in Arizona. This intercooler keeps my single turbo IAT in check so well, that I forget to look at it on logs... This is the THIRD intercooler I put on my car so do yourself a favor and buy the 7" HD or 7.5" race from the start. You will not need to upgrade any further.

Thx for the response. Will be ordering the 7.

Was looking to purchase a 7.5" race from VRSF but I do not see an option for black thermal coating. Do they not offer this the way helix did when I bought my helix 7"?

You can use a couple light coats of black radiator paint found at your local Autozone if you're interested in a stealth look.

BTW, Helix hasn't ever made a 7", only a 5" stepped.

VRSF do not offer black finish option for their intercooler. As mentioned by Tiago you can get it done yourself or at a local shop
