yes, open the glove box and there should be a little compartment door that stores the cable for your ipod. pull it out and connect one end to the ipod and the other to the aux port in the center console and enjoy the music.

Do you know if your BMW has the 6FL option?

I took delivery of my car in October and from what I understand, even if you have the ipod 6fl option, it does not come with the Y cable. This is now a separate piece you can buy from BMW. Right now I am using my regular USB ipod cable however I cannot see playlists on my ipod. I got my progman updated and still have the same problem. I am starting to believe that you can't even get full Ipod functionality without buying BMW's y cable for this.

My car came with the cable, it really should if your spending 400 bucks for this option. tell your dealer to give you one. cable probably costs 1 dollar to make.

My car came with the Y cable as well...you plug one end into your ipod, and the other gets plugged into the usb (for the video) and the aux (for the audio)

My car was missing the cable , but I picked one up at the dealership the next day for free. My car was in the showroom, so somebody swiped it.

If you paid extra for the ipod USB the car should have came with a cable. but if you didnt get that then u just have the Aux in, where u have to go and buy a cable.
