Tint shop near Philly, PA

Anyone know of a good tint shop here in philly? I'm trying to stay local because I'm lazy and don't feel like driving up to Freehold unless I have no other alternatives lol. BTW, anyone happen to know if there is a legal limit to the tints here in Philly? NY will pull you over for anything under 30% it seems.

That M6 is hysterical. Evidently it's Patti LaBelle's manager's car.

I may be in if it's around 150ish with GB. Now I have to decide whether to get 35% or up to 50%. My friend tells me if I get 35 all around, I should be alright, but I was thinking of going higher, like 40 to 50. The 50 looks decent in the pictures, but he tells me it's like barely having a tint. What do you guys think? I have SG w/ a black interior.

wadgras44 - what film do they use, do you know? And it looks like you have blacklines I hope to have some at the end of the month.

DragonMan - I have the same car - E90 /Leatherette. A buddy of mine has a E46 and had 30 on the rear window, 35 on the rear sides, and 50 on the front sides, and the 50% was almost like having nothing at all. If you check out wadgras44's car in the link above (his car is the last one on that linked page) you will see 50% all around. For me, that is a little to light. I am going to go with 35% after seeing his combo. I just hope that 35% all around with a black interior is not tooooooo dark. I want it to look classy, not like I am a dealer.

They use Llumar tint. And I agree that my 50% is too light, but I did not want to assume too much risk being a Jersey guy.

You fellas should check out page two of the Shades of Gray link. It shows a SG e92 with 15% and that will probably make you feel more comfortable with your 35% decision.

Good luck!

35 doesn't look too bad. still a bit dark though. I goto jersey and nyc every now and then so I don't want to get pulled over every 10 miles which is why I was originally thinking of going higher. bogo, you have some dates in mind to do this this and see if we can set up a GB?

I just joined the site mentioned above, and inquired about a price. I also asked about a group discount.

How many people are interested?

What's the price they're asking for on the group buy? I may be interested depending on the price.

I did not want to leave you hanging.... I spoke to Ryan at Shades of Gray, and was impressed about his knowlege. I have been waiting for a year to findsomeone, and after talking to him, I am going to get my car done there one way or another.

I am going to open a new thread later tonight or tomorrow morning (I am at work you know......) and post some information that I found out. He also agreeded to host a small meet, and we could book his space for a full Sat and use his shop if others wanted to do other mods... so it could be a cool little meet if we get a few guys together.

If you read this thread and are interested, let me know. Then once the new thread is open, I will add your names from the start.

Dragonman- I will PM you.

bogoshipyo - Propbably the same place that I am talking about - Shades of Gray. At least that is the same price that was given to me, and they are just off Rt 1 up in that area, so I think it is the same place.

dreamk - Are you in if it is a no more then $180? I think that is a very good price. And like I mentioned above, they knew ALL about the rear window scratching issue, which is the first place that have spoken to that knew about it. If you are at all hesitant, give them a call and talk to them some to get your own opinion. I was impressed.

% does not matter. Also does not matter if it is a coupe or sedan. The non group buy price is $180. So that is the most it would be. If anything, it will be less, but I can not tell you how much because I do not know how many people will show up.

I am making a new thread now, called "Potential group buy (window tinting) and mini meet." Perhaps that will get more attention...
