I just found out that my e90 is still at vpc getting rear bumper replaced due to 1-3 inch scratch....

Hope the color matches the body.....

This is a state-of-the-art professional BMW center Their work on the car is considered part of the manufacturing "process". I think looking at the following link might show you that a) you are not alone and b) that your car will be in good hands:

bmw330ipty is right, the whole bumper will be replaced with a newly painted one anyway so it'll match 100%... maybe you can ask him to throw in some accessories when you take delivery.

Garage List
Hektic...that's not cool. The VPC fixes alot of cars, they are as good as the factory and wouldn't worry about it. Just take the car...and your wait is over...

Yup, you wont see the difference. Its pretty common on cars that are shiped, thats why places like Lamborghini and Ferrari find its cheaper to fly the cars, beacuase you get less damage

The damage is caused more by the driving of the cars onto, off and around the inside of the boat and the boats and the crew walking around the boat or allowing loose things to roll around the boat while its sailing ect ect

It's not really the actual ship transportation as it is taking the vehicles on and off the ship. The dock workers are not the most careful group.
