Rear seat power outlets? - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

My car (325i) does not have the rear seat power outlets shown in all the literature underneath the rear air vents. Is this something that only comes on the 330i or is it a missing part like the seat-back nets? Any 325i's out there with the power outlets? I have the premium package.

USA doesnt get them on any BMW

EDIT: sorry got confused with compaints from Euro and USA E60
Some USA models do get the outlets

I'm not sure about any...

My E60 530i and E66 745Li has rear power outlets.

I haven't looked in the back of my E90 or really checked since I'm usually driving.

I'll have a look back there when I get my car back from programming and the crazy soft-stop brake problem.

Then they probably shouldn't show them in the brochure. I can live without them of course, but that seems a little misleading.

USA E60s get two power sockets in the rear centre console.

In the UK E90, the rear power oultets are part of the "Storage Compartment Package" option at £80.00. This option includes the two rear power sockets, backrest nets on the rear of the front seats and a storage compartment where the ashtray normally goes.

I just looked at my car at the dealer and it doesn't have the outlets either...
It doesn't bother me at all, i just wonder what the pattern is...*interesting*

Think we also need to order the Storage Compartment Package for R1800 on 320i and 320d or R900 on 325i and 330i to get them

I believe that the brochure states that the cars shown in the pics are European versions. Im 99% that no US bound cars (even with ED) get the 2 rear outlets.

In Europe, eh, Norway (Nordics) anyway, if we opt out the "smoking Package", we get two power oulets in the rear console.

There are no rear power outlets on any E90 cars sold for the US market.

Euro delivery cars are absolutely no different than US delivery cars with the exception of price, floor mats, and autobahn.

The nets are missing by mistake, as a BMW Northamerica representative has confirmed. You can go to your dealer and as soon as they are available you get them!

Very nice. Thanks for this info. I don't see any hooks for the nets on the back of the seats, though. I'll go ask the dealer anyway.

No hooks for the nets

The net is a complete unit that is attached to the seat

Has anyone investigated a retrofit of the rear seat power outlets into a US model E90? The parts are listed in that parts website whose link is somewhere in E90POST, but I've temporarily mislaid it.

What annoys me is that it's not just a picture in the brochure, it's illustrated in the manual that came with my car. Admittedly, it has an asterisk against it, so it's an optional gizmo, but I have all the optional packages so what else did I have to order to get it! I carry a lot of digital camera and computer gear, so power outlets are important to me.

I've asked my dealer to investigate, and so far he's not got an answer about the retrofit.

Maybe it's a part of the CIP 19.0. Just kidding.

E90Fleet is right (as always) - I had to order the Storage Compartment Package (extra R900 / $150) to get the rear power outlets for my E90 325i. I don't know what else was included...?
