Exhaust tips

I just picked up my exhaust tips for my 325xi. I know that a couple people had questions pertaining as to the 330i exhaust tips and would they fit on the 325. They seem to work great and do not require a screw. I simply bought two of the tips (p/n 18 30 7 549 558). Hope these pics help others that are deciding. Will post a couple more pics once I get them all the way on. Seems like you need to tap them all the way on.

I got the non-330 chrome exhaust tips from the dealer as part of my purchase. These are the ones with the screw, but I have mine installed without the screw and they have held now for two months no problem. The interior is designed just like the 330 tips, designed to hold without the screw. The only difference that I can tell is that the 330 tips are longer and tapered on the non-exposed side. Not sure that this really matters since you cannot see it anyway.

They were 38.50 for the one, ended up costing me $81 with tax for both. Also I did find them 10% off at a couple other BMW sites but the shipping was something like $10, so it ended up to be about the same price. So I just bought them and picked them up from the dealership.

Yup they extend all the way back, so its a clean look. You can push them on for the most part it is just the last inch that you have to use something to hit them all the way into place. If you want I can take a picture of the under part of the car showing you how far they slide on?

I included the pic with them pushed on all the way as well as pics from the bottom. Not sure if you can tell but they go all the way back.

I bought the tips from BMW Of Watertown. Not sure if you can order on-line but you can call them and place your order.

I called Circle BMW today to get 18-30-7-549-558 (330 exhaust tips for my 325). The sales person asked if my car was Canadian and I said no. He then left for a minute and talked to his supervisor and he wouldn't sell me the exhaust tips because the part is Canadian and my car is American. I then called my local BMW dealer and will have them by wednesday. future reference for anyone who wants the tips.....lie to them, tell them your car is Canadian

I think it's because in Canada, the chrome tips are standard on both the 325 and 330. I agree it's lame that they can't sell it to you, it doesn't even affect any functionality of the car.

I called Pacific BMW and they refused to sell them since it's not on their website, so I had them placed with Morristown BMW instead and cost is $66 included freight.

I ordered P/N 18-30-7-549-558 this morning from Circle BMW. The person who took the order asked why everyone was ordering these exhaust tips. Other than that no problems.
