Weight of E90 18" OEM Wheels and Tires
I searched for the weight for the e90 OEM 18” plus RFT’s and didn’t see a post for this. I recently changed my Wheels/Tires for 19” and thought I would post this for reference. Unfortunately I didn’t weight my 19” since the shop installed for me. When I have time I plan on pulling a front and rear wheel and weigh for my own reference. I have read where most have seen between 5lbs and 8lbs lighter weight with the 19” and non run flats.
Mileage on tires 7100 Miles Front Wheel 18”X8” 235 RE050 RFT Weight: 54.4 LBS Rear Wheel 18”X8.5” 255 RE050 RFT Weight: 57.9 LBS Has anyone Weighed their new 19" CSL's? If so please post. Red

If you would have searched for the weight of 162 you would have had hits, but thanks for informing those that may not have known. A fairly light (21-22 lb) rim and non-RFTs can save 15+ lbs of unsprung weight per corner which would probably be noticeable.

The weight of the tires alone are 24lbs F 26 lbs R I have the same tires dismounted in my garage. Making the 162's over 30 lbs each! |
