Old Damaged Rim - Recycle?

What do you do with a Rim that was slightly damaged by a pot hole this winter? Is there someone that will refurb or is that crazy? Do I just put it out on the curb for the trash/recycling? It's a Rial Salerno if that makes a difference.

some wheels are salvageable......just depends on how bad the damage is.....

you could repair it if it is not an easy wheel to replace.......keep one as a spare

2013 BMW F06  [0.00]
2013 BMW F30  [0.00]
Take some pictures, lets see how bad this thing is. You'd be surprised at what shops can repair. Have it fixed and do like brokemywallet said, keep it as a spare wheel.

on my old car, i had a set of wheels that were very curb rashed, i just kept it for track use, or winter use if you have snow, better than throwing it out

The damage is very slight. I couldn't see it with the naked eye. You can see it when it is spinning. It is damaged just enough that we couldn't balance it. I drove on it for several days until the new one came in.

Is repairing it worth the $170 for a new one shipped from Tirerack? What kind of shop will fix it?

yeah, nevermind.....most repairs are around 75 or so. if it's that cheap, then probably not the best idea to fix it. however, if the wheel happens to be discontinued from tire rack, then you might be SOL......
