I thought you just moved the V1 for a second....

Nice job. I might switch to aluminum as well....

I was bitten by a new car bug and seriously considered getting a 135i in alpine white with red leather + aluminum trim.

But I decided to invest the money into GLD, DBA, and GCC (gold + commodities funds) and just refresh the car for that fresh new feeling.

Immediately after the mod, I regretted the decision. The interior felt a bit cold and harsh.

However after a few days, I am beginning to like it more and more.

Overall, I am very happy with the result!!!

BTW, If anyone else is interested in this mod, contact Jason @ Tischer. He gave me a good deal on the part.

(I sold the wood trim to another local member who will be painting them piano black. That would look incredible too.)

Your wood trim looked awesome, but nothing wrong with aluminum. Still looks great against the black. Well done!

+1. Back when I owned e90, I made a mistake of buying wood and replaced it with alu at the cost of $700. Anything but wood for me...

Why did you move your V1? Looks kind of unsafe to have it there.

The aluminum trim looks much better. Gives it more of a sporty look.
