H&R sports are a good bet you can get them for around $250, and install should be about half that. You're probably looking about $400 parts and labor to have someone else install them for you.

Why not get coilovers? Never understood why people get springs. If you can't install them, shops are going to rape you a big one and plus you gotta change your shocks and struts or else your stock shocks can't last long with this setup. Just wondering.

Coilovers are great if you have the budget and know how to set it up correctly. However, not everyone wants to spend $1500+ on suspension nor needs to. For a basic drop and sport improvement, springs will be more than adequate.
With that said, if you have the means, go with the coils. |

Got my springs for 180$ off ebay, and got them installed for 140$ at EDO Performance.

Found some germen springs in nice quality. Install them my self. Looks easy and i have changed springs before on a VW - but i just wanted to know if there was something speciel on the BMW and i can se in the diy that there are something speciel to consider. So thx for the link.
If the stock shocks dont last i dont care. I have a full service and repair contract with my dealer and he said it will cover if i used CE and TÜV approved parts. And they are.

That was my thing. I didn't want to spend $1500 to lower my car a little bit. I went with H&R sports and I like them. Also with the spot package, the shocks should be able to handle the extra stress and not blow out.
