I'm loving the c63, but I prefer a 2 door and a 6MT. Imagine a C63 coupe verision with a 6MT....
I would take that over an M3 anyday. |

I think the entire point here is that in the US the M3 sedan is about a grand more than the C63 but in Canada it is about 7k more. Do you think the Canadian M3 is worth that much more than the US one? Same with Lexus. The ISF is more than the M3 sedan in the US but less in Canada. With your quote you must think in Canada the M3 is the better car and in the US the ISF is the better car since "you get what you pay for, son..." Good logic. :P
BMW is pretty much the worst company in price discrepancy between the US and Canada. That is the problem imo. Love the cars. Hate the pricing discrepancy. |

seriously temping for one.... it would be great to replace my G35 with.
either this or the IS-F... i'm liking the AMG V8 sound way more. 63k is a steal for this kind of car.

I was seriously eyeing the C Class with the AMG kit anyway, this makes it even more tempting.
As folks in this thread have mentioned it just feels like we are getting ripped off. Its not paying for the BMW but when folks on the same continent pay so much less it's irratating. Not to mention most of the German car dealers have adjusted their pricing. Our friends to the south would feel the same way if they were paying 7k-10K more for a vehicle than folks right beside them. Look at the way they are complaining about gas.. I have read that BMW sales are down by 50% in Canada. That's what we have to do..dont buy until BMW gets the hint. M.

Beast is a great description for the C63 AMG. Unbelievable power & torque, and 500HP is easily within reach with a couple of aftermarket mods. And with a loaded (CDN) price of about $70K ($11K less than a loaded M3), suspension upgrades to match the M3's track abilities are quite doable.
It looks mean. It is mean .... |

Mercedes service records over the past few years have been horrible, at least according to Consumers'. We looked before we bought the 335, but the snooty sales people turned us off -- I'd never buy one...

Here's what really frosts my weenie. For 80K + They give you the same cheap rubber and plastic pedals you get in every other BMW. What a joke. I mean come on. Even a basic MB C230 that costs about half the price of the M3 comes with beautiful aluminum racing pedals. I've driven the new C class and I gotta hand it to benz. They really are starting to get their shit together.
I've already posted a thread about it and got a lot of smart ass responses. Things like " You don't buy an M3 for it's pedals you buy it for the V8 " or " Who cares about the pedals it's an M3 " I for one appreciate a nice interior. I mean you spend all your time inside the cabin. I don't give a rats ass what kind of car it is, when your spending that kind of money, the interior of your car should be a luxurious and sporty as possible. What a dissapointment. Another thing.... What's up with the M3 steering wheel? It feels so thick and spongy. Yuck. Last edited by markymarc1979; 04-13-2008 at 09:44 AM.. |

those recaros in the euro spec RS4 are one of the most comfortable factory sports seats i've ever sat.
I almost brought an R32 Golf because of those seats!

I think the new C Class is a great looking car. I think the new Audi A4 will also be a big step up in looks and space.
If I was looking to spend $80K+ I would be looking at the new Nissan GT-R. I sat in one at the auto show and it looked and felt great. Better than Porsche 911 Turbo performance at 1/3 off price. Getting lots of positive automotive press. |
