Custom exhaust

i did a search and couldnt find much info on a custom exhaust. what im looking for is a nice deep sound that is pretty quiet until wot. i want as little drone as possible but can handle a little if i have to. i know this is pretty much the perfect exhaust but i cant justify spending 1400 on an exhaust when i can have one built at a shop with dual mufflers for about 5-600. any info would be great. i was thinking the magnaflows or borla mufflers would do the trick. at least from the info i was able to gather

Ok well theres some things you should know, first off those exhausts that are 1400 or so are full mendrel bent t-304 stainless steel from the cats or downpipes back. No muffler shop is going to do that for you at 600... My custom exhaust is 2.5" turbo back and cost over $2200... If you just want a rear section just have a muffler shop cut off the stock mufflers and weld on some Borla XR-1 mufflers, you will save good weight and they sound mean but if you have stock downpipes and secondary cats you will have no drone, just a nice aggressive sound...
