Need a break in oil change done. I couldn't see a price for just one oil filter. Is there something for just the oil/oil filter? I take it that it won't have free shipping for this right?

No DIY that we have here unfortunately, but I'm sure there may be one out there somewhere on the forums. I don't think it's that difficult though, because it's pretty easily accessed right up under the hood towards the windshield/cowl area.

And all this time, I thought it would be inside the cabin somewhere, lol.

I'm going to order a set within the next 500 miles as I have 19,500 miles now. And it won't be until 30k until I get a freebie oil change.

Just wondering why the 335i's cost $5 more than the other models? When do you think I can expect it to get to me? (The Los Angeles area)? Spring break is next week and it'd be dandy if I can do the work then.

It should ship out today. The 335i's take a different air filter, hence the price difference. You should see it to your door in 4-5 business days. Thanks for your order!

I ordered right before I posted here. This is truly great service. I know that at some places, a tracking number is generated right after you pay...but the item doesn't actually ship out for days!

Not the case over here! I just checked the tracking number again and it is already shipped in less than 12 hours of ordering. Great service!

I have 13k, changed my oil already at 3k and 10k...

Your car should be still covered under the maintenance warranty, so these specials probably won't apply to you until you hit 50k miles. But, to answer your question - When you take the car in when it's due for service, BMW will change those items as they're due, the car will tell them when they need to be changed.

No, but it's easily accessed up by the cowl area under the hood.
