I have done this mod. There are 16 bulbs to be replaced. It took me about a half hour to do. IMO I think it looks great. You can order the bulbs from here.....
http://www.bimmian.info/90
it's about $80 USD

I know it's probably hard to describe, but what does it look like? Brighter? Whiter? (if that makes any sense)

I have gray interior...It matches the LED's on the door handles. It gives off a more blueish tint than white. Hope that helps...tonight I will take a pic and post it here. I'm not sure that it will do it justice though.

they arent "xenon" they are just whiter bulbs then stock, and maybe a little brighter or higher output. I'd consiter it but i cant really see spending the money on it. Maybe someday it's something i'll ask for a a b-day present or something, who knows.

I am planning to switch the bulbs just because I like how it looks. If I need to find something I will just pull out the BMW flashlight .

Anyone know if the light color has a bluish tint or is it just white-white? Thanks.

ok well i have the LED's from bimmian. The good part is that the color is the same tone as when you first turn on your xenons... and since they are LED's they will last for as long as i can think of...now the only down side is that its slightly darker in the cabin...but i like the atmosphere it gives off, sort of sportier darker feel...i have a black car with black int. and aluminum trim....so it give a really dark but yet hightech atmosphere...people really give me compliments.... and its not that much dimmer....
