E92 pulls right ! Tried everything (I think) help me out !
So my e92 335 has been pulling right recently and it’s almost like my steering wheel is loose over bumps as well. In the past month I’ve:
-shook down both front wheels with no play -replaced both front thrust arms -had the car aligned twice -balanced the wheels twice -re torqued every suspension bolt -swapped driver front and passenger front wheels -two sets of different tires -checked every bushing - tightened e torx bolts on steering shaft -checked over coilovers -tried different tire pressures And I’m sure numerous other things, I’m running straight out of ideas honestly, and have searched everywhere which leads me back to where i started. Somebody please chime in ! Reallt could use the help ! Btw my setup is 18’ wheels 8.5 front 9.5 rear Suspension: Bc coilovers with adjustable camber plates Tires: Fronts-245/40r18 Firestone firehawk indy 500 Rears- 285/35r18 federal 595 rs-rr |

Have you checked actually under the car yourself prying things? What I like to do myself is to use ramps and jacks. And try prying things with the car on ramps for a loaded result and on jacks with unloaded suspension. My car has been doing this for a while and I got it narrowed down to these two items. Thrust arm balljoints which I did already, front lower control arms and balljoints and the biggest deal is the steering linkage joint. Try to reach up in front of your rack the linkage that goes to it and grab the bar and try to move it, also try to move your steering wheel left and right in the center, any clunk means you got a play spot in the linkage to the rack and that's easily loose steering

Well I had that issue myself my car was tramlining pretty heavily but I had trash front tires. The Indy 500s fixed it. I was assuming he had good tires

So yeah i switched tires twice , my new setup is posted above haha. That didn’t help much. But i re aligned the car just for the hell of it. Everything is good but it’s showing caster is off. I know you can’t adjust caster, so that leads me to something being bent in the front right . Cause the front was 7.2 which is normal. But i have to find the sheet cause i know for a fact the front right caster was off a decent amount. Steering shaft is fine too even tightened the e torx bolts on it. So I’ve ruled out tires and wheels, also the steering shaft and alignment. So my theory is the control arm is bent because the thrust arms are new as well. Any other input ?

I've had plenty of vehicles over the years that had a pull....and a correct alignment fixed the issue. |

.......but it would pull if either of those readings were out of spec. I'm not saying it's common, but it can happen. Worn bushings, joints, hitting something hard ....that can throw it out enough to make it pull left or right.

If you look at OP's alignment, his front cross camber is good. |

I know few member laugh at me the other day, but on my E90, I had the ''crawling'' effet.
I went to the 1st shop, who they do general car alignment, and they weren't able to do it. They told me the frame was bent. The I went to a Euro shop, they told me the car was fine, but I require a 2h+ aliment job, since they had to unbolt the rear subframe to make it square with the front wheels, then they did a ''normal '' alignment. After I had many bad comments on those explanation , I call back the shop for more technical terms and they simply told me : -'' I unblot you rear sub frame, rotate it so it squared with the chassis, then do alignment. If people dont believe this, understand that your car was pulling HARD on the right, and after a 2h job and a 200$ bill, you car is straight as hell.'' |
