Recieved and installed today.

installation wasn't too hard. just bit confused.

there is actually 3 sets of green/orange + green wires (twisted).

So, I just crossed my fingers and chose one of them. fortunantly, it worked.

Also, there were many many brown wires, which is ground. I also crossed fingers and chose one of them. Worked.

features are great and sweet. I love them.

But it seems like the remote sometimes being dizzy. Especially after I push the lock button, remote doesn't work for 20~30 secs. Maybe I just have to get used to it.

great product overall. 4 stars out of 5.

There is an overload protection feature on the FOB, most will discover this when operating the lock numerous times - it will time out in about 5 min.

Hey Tom,

Would you be able to add the following feature? It would be good for people like me who keep worrying about whether or not I locked the doors and closed all the windows.

ignition off -> door open and closed? -> if yes, then wait 30 sec -> lock all doors, roll up windows, close sunroof, activate alarm

Unless this feature is already in idrive?

Problem is something like this can be a real liability if the family pet or kids were caught.

How about adding it as an 'optional' feature and adding a disclaimer.
My sister has this function built-in in her aftermarket alarm and I thought that it was a really nice ease-of-mind feature.
Are you talking about the windows closing in on them? If you could monitor the windows while it is being closed to make sure nothing is in the way of the windows as an added safety feature?

Probably won't be going this route, due to safety. BMW removed the roll-up feature alltogether due to liability.

btw: I was going to place my order this week but my car got hit and I have to pay the insurance deductible and buy a new ACS front lip ( insurance does not want to cover it because is not an OEM part ) but I can't wait to have the money to buy the remotekey I want to roll up my windows.

Ok. after playing with the fob for a while, I still have problem with folding the mirror with the key fob.

This is what my car does now.

1. doors unlock when ignitions off.

2. when any windows are open, I can close them and fold mirrors by pressing the lock button (BMW logo) for 2 secs and let go.

3. However, if all the windows are closed, then ignitions off, I can't fold mirrors by remote. I know I'm in feature or funtion 2 since the doors are unlocks by itself.

I read the manual that came with the package and it said I need to press the lock button twice in order to fold/unfold mirrors from ourside. But it doesn't work.

is there a way to program this to have auto-lock.. say after 30 seconds?

i dont have idrive or OEM alarm.. and this is one of the things im really looking for.

or when you get the OEM alarm does it have this feature?

I think Tom was referring to the windows going up as the liability issue. Locking the doors after 30 seconds, should not be a problem.

So Tom, do you think you can add the feature of automatically locking the doors after 30 seconds? I have the OEM alarm as well as CA and sometimes, I think that I forgot to lock the doors.

If you guys can add this feature, I will be ordering it ASAP.
