I think my 6FL Y-cable is busted

Sound seems to only come out one side of my speakers now when using ipod. Checked all of my settings, tested the car on radio and CD mode, everything sounds fine, except when using the ipod. Ipod also confirmed working as headphones still work fine.

Bought the cable about 8 months ago, does it have any sort of warranty or am i out of luck?

Wiggle the cable at the socket in the console. Mine is intermittent and it's the console jack, NOT the cable.

+1. My console jack is all loose too. And if i wiggle it around i get a ton of static and bad sound quality.

Well i just brought the cable into my dealership to have them look at it. They confirmed that the cable itself was causing the problem by trying a new cable, and replaced it free of charge under warranty...

I know of the issue you guys both speak of, it happens when lift and open center arm console to get to my garage door opener. Hasn't happened yet so far today with this new one, though.

I had the same issue, wigggled cable and heard static. Problem was not with the USB part of it but with the 3.5mm jack pertion. Took it into the dealership and they replaced the cable under warranty. Problem solved.
