Car finally delivered

My 320d edition m sport has finally arrived at the dealers (Friday 13th!!) been and had a look today and taken a couple of very quick pics before it is prepped and has the carbon fibre spoiler fitted. Picking it up next saturday due to work and also it will be getting 3 coats of my new wax addition, Zymol Vintage over the next week, so will then look perfect. Will post up more pics when I collect it. The lemon leather looks better than expected as well, just got to keep it clean!.Cheers.

Congrats. Always nice to see the new car in the metal even though its a week before you officially take delivey.

Interested on your experience with Zymol. I did a full Auto Glym Lifeshine on my last Sparkling Graphite M Sport. However I have spent some time reading up on techniques on Detailers Word. This is due to the New Edition M Sport being Carbon Black as with yours and I want to give it the best chance of staying clean and swirl free as possible. Zymol seems pricey but you get what you pay for. I have plans of refreshing my cleaning and polish/wax collection in prep for my new car in Aug/Sept. Let us know how you get on with prepping/detailing your new wheels.

Black lines will be added in a few weeks! plus carbon fibre grills.
My friend is actually Zymol liscenced so i am lucky, but even the basic zymol waxes are superb, but initial paint prep is the key, after that wax top ups are easy.Just use very good qualty microfibres-like eurow etc, zymol ones are not that good imo.You can fairly easily keep it swirl free by using two buckets,wash/rinse and grit guards and also wash mitts (not even a zymol sponge!!)only in straight lines, same with wax application/removal.Black or any dark colour is always difficult.Hope this helps, if you need any more detailing advice just ask or join detailing world,it is a great site.

Less than a week to go, you must be so excited.

I ordered the lemon then spent the last few weeks convinced I should have had black! not sure why the call it lemon,it sounds horrid, and then you see it and think oh actually it is lovely in a do not ever sit on the seats kind of way! will get some leather sealant as this is suppose to be excellent at repelling the dirt and jeans staining.
