European plate on front

What's the best way to attach a European plate (European Union/German Plate) to the front of a 335i convertible? Are there parts you buy or what?

unless you WANT to drill holes in the bumper, i'd recommend using 3M automotive double sided tape. you can pick up a roll of it at advance auto parts or a place like that. i put one on with it a couple of months ago and have had no problems whatsoever. won't damage the paint when you decide to remove it, etc etc.

i ordered the german frame and drilled small holes but since the german frame has so many holes in it you can line those up with the stock mount for the front plate. and if you ever want to switch it out and put the stock OEM mount you're ok btw my holes line up perfectly so i'm good to go and you can't see any screws whatsoever.

We just euro delivered a 335 and BMW actually used double sided tape. It worked really well!

During Euro Delivery they use doublesided tape.

Still for long term use I wasn't sure I wanted to use tape, so I bought a Skene Design bracket:
http://www.skenedesign.com/FPBracket/index.htm

$50, but the holes are drilled on the bottom, out of sight. Can be made to any width, to accommodate the Euro plate, and then even if you have to move them closer together for a real plate (if you move to NY/CA/etc) you don't see the old holes!

That's funny for my euro delivery they screwed the euro plate into the US holder. It leaks over on the sides but its fine. I picked up one of the euro clear plastic covers for the plate and it works fine. and if I ever need to go to a CA plate I have the plate holder there. Oh, I also had the plate holder painted to match the car. Thanks to Long...

Maybe they go based on your state laws? PA doesn't require a front plate, so the bracket was in the trunk.

Also, did you consider taking off the front plate bracket and seeing if you can put the Euro plate right on the bumper using the same holes? I guess with a painted version it might not make a diff!

Think they changed to tape for ED.
Couple of years ago they drilled as mentioned, This time (in April) they just doubled side taped as mentioned above
