E90 E92 BASIC audio Subwoofer install WITHOUT HIFI LOGIC 7. Help? Very quiet sound
Hi all, first time posting a question/thread here. I normally find what im looking for but it seems no1 is having a similar issue like me???? E92 WITHOUT hifi or logic 7 amp nor the wiring and harness in the boot/trunk area. So i tapped into the front under seat subwoofers - i couldn't find a wiring diagram anywhere so for anyone else who is looking....: Only 2 wires for each of the 2 subs Front left BLUE BLACK + BLUE BROWN - Front right BLUE BLACK + BLUE BROWN - I then connected all 4 wires to a high to low frequency control thingy which rca out to the amp and box. The issue is that the sound is VERY quiet! Ive done all the tweaking still nothing... To confirm its not the tweaking of the controls, I swapped the the rca input from the car to a rca lineout from my phone via a 3.5mm jack... and the sub was pounding the air as it should So what is the issue/solution? Thanks in advance |

Yes you're right, sorry.
E92 UK model - basic system with no harness or wiring in trunk area Tbh i did just want to add a sub rather than change out the whole system to L7. Im lowkey impressed with the stock sound system despite the lack of bass I DID find a solution to my problem btw, i changed out the LOC converter to a slighlty better one (still a unbranded one). It seemed to fix my *very low sound* issue. So maybe others in a similiar situation could try that.. My current issue atm is trying to find a good remote source. I wired the remote wire to fuse 31 which is the stereo fuse which only turns on when the key is inserted. However the power light on the subwoofer remains on even after the bmw electrics timeout/cut out period. I may try wiring it to the 12v lighter socket fuse instead. Not sure why it stays powered on connected to fuse 31 though 🤔 |
