Low tire pressure warning with new wheels???

We have a 325xi and I just had a set of 162's put on them and the low tire pressure indicator came on as soon as it was driven off the lot of the tire store. Took it back and everything checked out, no leaks, no punctures, etc. Has anyone else had this come up? Is it something that happened because the different wheel sizes and just needs to be calibrated? Thanks

The only thing I can think of resetting is the tire pressure system.

Funny, mine has never gone off. Wish it did to prove it's working. Even after I got my new tires installed, no warning. Didn't reset the computer until 3 days after.

When I had the 2 nails in the rear, it did not go off until i had the other tire fixed. The warning system did what is was supposed to do and that is great! Atleast I know. Just glad that I didn't have to purchase new tires.

Has anybody switch to a staggered wheel set? Any concerns with the FTM?

Send a message via ICQ to ep609
the FTM will work on any wheel.
it measures a decrease of pressure with the ABS Sensors and not with an extra sensor in the wheel.

everytime you checked your pressure manually and now that this is correct you have to reset the FTM. (procedure is shown in your manual)

the system does not now the correct pressure, but it realizes when the pressure is too low, so it got to know if the pressure is correct (thats why you reset it)
