Post H&R Springs...

Newbie here, just geeting warmed up, lol...

Only posted once before and i wanted to say thanks for the feedback on the steering wheel swap out links worked like a champ ..... Just installed my M3 sport wheel... damn nice.. love that stitching.

Now my new question I just ordered some H&R Sport Springs (2008 335 Coupe) and am contemplating going to 19" wheels. According to the H&R dimensions it seems like my back end my be too low for 19" rims anybody done the mod and have issues....

Thanks

...Unfortunately for the bank account this is the start of many mods to come... will it ever end, i hope not...

I have 19" wheels with H & R sports and the only problem was cured by rolling the fenders due to 275 wide tires at the rear. If you run a narrower tire, you probably won't have any problems. With my setup, i haven't noticed any rubbing even with passengers in the rear of the car.

As long as you get the correct offsets and tire sizes, the 19's will fit fine. I recommend a 19x8.5 ET40 and 19x9.5 ET33-35 with 235/35/19 and 265/30/19 tire sizes. This is the setup we run for the VMR CSL wheels and they fit perfectly, even on lowered cars with passengers.

Smile pics of the wheel....

the wheel is Alcantara and Leather with the M3 stitching... it looks awesome and i only paid $297 dollars sweet deal...

Now i do have one problem the wheel honks when i turn it sometimes... i assembled it the way the thread showed but i found a small spring in my old wheel, it was in the bottom when i disconnected the airbag. Put it back in where it fits but i researched it after the honking and i can't find any diagrams that show it... Anybody got any answers???

It's not terribly difficult, I believe there are a few DIYs on how to do this. I have done it on several E46s in about 30 minutes.

19" and the H&R sport springs work great for me. I'm running 265 tires and didnt roll my fenders. Only thing I would recommend is to change atleast the rear shocks too. With the H&R sport springs and the stock shocks the car is very bouncy.
