Clear Bra - Extended?

To all of you experts out there, I have a question.

Is it possible to cover the entire hood in the clear bra protectant? I have the normal strip across the front 12 or so inches.

Just wondering if there is a reason beside cost(s) for not doing it. Maybe the heat from the engine? Will not stay down?

Your thoughts?

Thanks,

edspilot

Edspilot,

Complete hood can be done, pretty much cost is the biggest factor and what most of the companies have come up with is a red zone. Areas likely to get the most hit and their design is to protect those areas.
My standard kit goes up to 18 inches.
i have extended up to 28 inches and for your car, i can do complete hood.
Let me know if you are interested, just PM me your number and i will contact you.

Heat is no problem, I have done few Porsches with complete hoods and fender.

Dean, I have heard of guys getting their entire cars clear bra'd before. I'm sure you can clear bra just the hood. I'm not sure if doing the entire hood is overkill or not though, really up to the owner I guess.

I just PM Raja about doing the completed hood.

It just seems like all of my "fellow aviators" (birds, ducks & geese) like to deposit on my hood. No I do not park under or around trees.

With BMW's paint being so soft and you not finding it for a while, you will not like it. I was lucky but, I can imagine if it baked in the sun all day before you have a change to clean it. Ouch! It will leave a stain.

I'll give it a try and let you know.

All:

Raja called last evening and I am scheduled to have my entire hood covered in the clear shield. I'm scheduled for Sunday, June 8th.

He says he will remove my small shield across the front of the hood, remove/clean the leftover adhesive off the hood and install the new full hood shield.

I'll let you know how it looks/works.

Ed,

Wise decision. Raja is the best. He goes above and beyond in every way. Incredibly meticulous. You will be happy. Stopped by today for a quick tweak to an install he did for me a few months back and he did for free and washed my car. Customer service is #1 for Raja. Much appreciated.

Hood Completed!

Just picked my car up from Raja after having my complete hood covered in Ventureshield.

Raja took the smaller across the hood shield off cleaned the hood up and put the new single complete shield on. He did a fantastic job. It took about 3 hours from start to finish.

Would I do it again, yes! Plus he washed the entire car before returning it to me. Truely, you can not see the shield at all now.

I highly recommend Raja for any of your detailing needs, especially the clear-bra.

Thanks Raja for a 1st Class job.
