Thumbs up Nitto INVO Tire Review

Size: 275/30/19 Rear
235/35/19 Front

So I bought these tires a couple weeks ago just before M.O.M. (thanks Long). First thing I noticed when I drove off was how quiet the tires really were. Before I get into detail let me mention that these tires are probably one of the best tires I have driven on. They are 100% comparable to Michelin PS2's (just as Long mentioned to me)!!

Noise: Coming from Generals (extremely loud tire), these tires are as quiet as you can get. From rolling on the freeway to cornering tight turns, these tires are nearly silent!

Performance: Since I purchased the tires, I have taken many sharp turns with the tires and have never heard the tires screech or lose grip. With the hard sidewall which softens during normal driving and stiffens during cornering, I feel like I have tweaked my whole suspension setup. The ride is noticeably smoother.

Tread: Many say the tread is extremely funky... I like it! It's something you don't see very much these days and if you watch the videos at invotire.com, every part of it can be perfectly explained.

Can't think of much else to say about these tires but coming from General Exclaims, I can only express positive remarks. If you want High Performance Tires without being charged a premium because of the name brand *cough* Michelin, then the Nitto Invo is for you! Thank you to the Nitto team for creating such an amazing tire! Keep up the good work...

If anyone has any questions regarding the Invo, feel free to shoot me over a PM.

-PJ

**EDIT #2** Scroll down to the last couple of pictures and you will see more pics of these tires! i have had close to 3000 miles on them and they are holding up FANTASTIC! I love them! http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...=1#post3191500

**EDIT** Here is a picture of the tire tread... pretty kick-ass!

Hey PJ, thank you for the review! I have been hearing a lot of buzz about these invo's lately and I think I will have to grab some for my street setup... Oh, btw I am getting two sets of wheels/tires (Linea Corse L22's for the street, whenever they are released, and Volk TE37's for the track)

LMK about those bulbs soon man. I want them NOW!

Damn two sets? Just get one really nice set of HRE's!!

Hah alright I'll let you know about those bulbs ASAP because I want them too!! Either we order from this website I found (probably McCulloch 6000K's) for $165 free shipping or we go through this guy on PROJEK-S if he's cheaper.

Alright, sounds good. Well let me know in the next day or two.

And about the rims, well I will be living on the east coast for the next few years so I am going to have to deal with the winters and potholes of New England all the time. So I don't want to worry about damaging one $1500 HRE rim on a crappy road, when I can just put a set of winter tires on my 18" Volks and be safe. Anyway, the L22's will look so good on a black e92... I just don't know when they will be out...

How's wet traction in the real world?
I remember having Nitto's a while back and while they were pretty decent on dry roads, when it rained you could def. feel it hydroplaning

Sorry for not doing more research prior to posting but is this a all season tire or summer only?

No need to be sorry! This is a high performance summer tire (from what I know) and they have engineered part of the tread design to PREVENT hydroplaning so not sure if it's a "summer only" tire but definitely not an "all season" tire because they are SO soft!

You're taking your car there? Damn... good luck. Might as well get some CSL's for the winter tires and get some NICE summer wheels.

I've driven my Invo in the rain before. To my surprise, traction was definitely not a problem! I remember driving on quite a few puddles on the crappy LA streets, and still had full controllability.

According to the Nitto site, wet traction is up to par with dry traction. I just don't think it will work well with snow lol. Nonetheless, they are great tires. I've driven on mine for about 2,000 miles and I still love the quietness and comfort! I'm waiting to give my review until I drive them a bit more.

i've driven about 3000 and they/'ve held up perfectly. i personally dont know how long these will last but youc an try asking long. he might know

and yes there is a strip engineering just for hydroplaning prevention so it has very good traction in the rain!

I've driven them on the rain, as mentioned in my post above. They hold up nicely and I did not experience any hydroplaning

They have some awesome detailed videos on the Invo and I think one of them explains the tread details:

http://www.nittotire.com/#index%2Emicrosite%2Einvo

They also have a great looking E46 M3 wallpaper

I did a lot of research prior to getting these tires and am definitely happy with them!
