insted of sirius radio....

it their any way i can get xm in my BMW insted of sirius?
i have a subscription with XM and i really enjoy it.

There's a vendor on this board that sells a kit which converts your Sirius radio to XM while using the same antenna and software interface. I can't quite recall who but it's certainly possible and available.

Not sure cause I dont have it but didn't they merge? Don't you get both now? I thought I remember hearing / reading about that a while back.
They are supposed to honor each other's contracts.

Yes, they're the same company but there's still two separate satellite systems that require two separate receivers. The merger announcement said some channels would be broadcast on both systems and they planned to release dual-system receivers at some point in the future.

It's not like they could just flip a switch to let the Sirius receivers pick up XM broadcasts and vice-versa.

gravediggin i heard that also but i wasn't certain about it im not sure if the deal was sealed for them to merge.

I have this same issue. With XM if you have more than one radio the subscription becomes cheaper with every radio subscription added. I already have one XM in the household. I'd prefer to also replace the Sirius in my E90 LCI with XM, mainly for that reason. (Plus, XM has great college football coverage)

Can someone please point me to the XM kit that replaces the E90 factory Sirius radio?
