I think your latter point is correct. Visually even only 10mm makes a BIG difference
Totally agree, thanks for the comments.

Jules.

After having the springs fitted I thought it had dropped too much and suspected that I had the H&R race and not sport springs fitted, but after checking the paperwork mine are sport springs, so the actual drop is 35mm front and 20mm rear. I would say that these figures are about right but it has ben mentioned that as the car already had M-Sport suspension then the car was already lower than standard, so the drop may only be 20mm front and 10mm rear , it does look more than that to me though.

The car definitely sits much better now.

Jules.

so is the drop x amount lower than m suspension or stock. I have M suspension but dont want it to not lower much due to it being for stock suspension if you know what i mean.

Car does look good Jules, maybe some spacers next?

I think you'd be happy with drop if you had them on yours, I can remember seeing Steve's at Evolve (BMWBailey) and his looked great, however I am not sure if his were H&R, they might have been coilovers.

Not a fan of spacers and like the look of the car as it is at the moment, one thing I have noticed though is that it doesn't seem as grippy now from a standing start, probably due to it being alot firmer at the back. Might add some wheels though at a later date.

Carl, yes the H&R springs would lower your car a further 15mm than your existing M Sport suspension. Same as on my E90, remember how it looked!

Looks really good, I would worry about speed bumps around my way. Anyway you can take a picture of the actual clearance?

Speed bumps were never a problem in my E90 on H&R springs

I have the H&R sport springs on my E91 and I would recommend them. The ride is still good (albeit runflats will always feel shit!), it lowers it evenly (as standard the front sits quite a lot higher than the back) and I haven't scraped one speedbump. The car looks low but the clearance is fine. After looking at Jude1's car, it looks slightly lower than mine but I think its because he hasn't got spacers on it, so the tops of the wheels get hidden by the wheel arches - in the same way that spacers without lowering makes the car look like its riding even higher!

H&R sport springs (with spacers):
