WTF? Is this normal for blacklines?

Is this normal for blacklines? I got these from Morristown. See the circle in the clear. There is one on the outer clear and the inner (which is harder to see). Both turns have the same thing. It looks like the nub from when them poured/molded the plastic. This is OEM?!

Sorry about the picture quality. Im at work and dont have my camera.

I've never looked at mine in that detail, but I'd say it's most likely part of the plastic injection process. Nobody will notice that anyways, right?

Ya not from 10ft, still bugs me if this sort of thing is OEM. I can wetsand the ring on the outer lense down but getting to the inner lense would be a big pain.

my blacklines were knock off's for 89.99. I just looked and they have the same mark on the back.

No biggie $89 vs $200+ and a couple of mold effects...

Agreed. Anyone able to go to a BMW dealership and compare their morristown blacklines to ones they know are OEM for sure?

I got my BL from Morristown and I can't see what you're describing. so no, I would say this is not normal.

I got mine at a BMW dealership and they have the same marks, so it's normal.

Thanks to everyone (except for the post whores) for responding.

So after seeing conflicting responses, I got curious and checked out the original E90 lights from the factory. The also have these same injection points. Knowing how thorough/anal the german engineers can be I am surprised they allow it. I think of it as a cosmetic defect but I guess I am in the minority.

I am curious about those who reported they did not have these blemishes. I wonder if there was a change in the process or manufacture.

Yes... Geez! I got my Blacklines from Morristown BMW also. They're a very reputable dealership and sell all the OEM parts. Most people won't even notice the fact that you have some aftermarket OEM Blackline tail lights... seriously. Who is your car's biggest critic? It's you by a mile; everyone else thinks it's either a 5 series or a top of the line Honda Civic. I told someone my car was the new Accord and they said, "oh, that's nice". Ha, ha, ha.

I hope your car's tires all went flat from disappointment when you insulted it that way.
