Engine Noise
I don't know if I'm just paranoid/especially sensitive lately or what but I've noticed that while at idle after driving for a while, or cruising between 20-40 mph, it seems as if engine noise has increased (vague, I know). No real difference in sound/new noises, just louder. Even with music cranked up fairly loud, I can still hear it. I'm guessing this is insignificant but I'm just throwing it out there for comments.

Hmm, interesting. I don't know why it would be though?

Well, it needs to cool your engine, more... the oil is getting hotter, but so is your engine. No?

I guess I was asking why all of a sudden an issue like that would arise, if it had never been present before.

Now that you mention it, the noise does seem to resemble a drone, but I really feel as if it is coming from the engine bay.

I figure it has to be something irrelevant. I need to get out of my own head. I actually enjoy the fact it is louder now, so I don't even know why I came on here whining about it.

Just overall more engine noise or does something stand out a little more then before?

I am not sure what part of the country you live, but as crazy as it sounds, it seems like our engines really thrive under cooler ambient temperatures. I have noticed that my engine runs and sounds better as temperatures cool off; say close to 50 degrees or so.

More overall noise. Low-pitched, almost as if it is exhaust drone.
