Question What Next? (considering removal time)

So now that I have JB3 and the dual cone intake on the way, I must begin thinking about the next power mod to make. First, the JB3 gives the most gain for the money. Next, the intake is second in performance value. So, what comes next in this natural progression?

My problem is that I do not want to spend very much time removing components before service. That means, no exhaust work which unfortunately should be the next upgrade. Also, the intercooler is out. What is left? Should I just be happy with this for another 47,000 miles until the warranty expires?

I would say FMIC. But, I would also think you would be fine with an exhuast upgrade.

According to my service advisor, anything done could void my warranty. According to my sales dude, if I remove the add-ons before coming in for a related issue, life is good. Now, only increasing exhaust flow makes more power. In my opinion, and I may be wrong, that means higher flow cats or no cats. I would want to switch the exhaust back to stock for any service though. That would be a lot of work I think since I would be doing the work myself. This is my quandary.

I changed my section 3 and also removed the secondary cats on section 1.
my SA says it is fine as long as I get the OEM pieces welded back on when I return the car when lease is up.

The only thing that can cause issues with warranty would be removing DP/Turbos/FMIC.
The FMIC is pretty simple direct swap.

From my understanding, it the problem you have stems from the mod (this example being the exhaust) its self, then you may have voided your warranty. But if something goes wrong with anything other than your exhaust, you will still have your warranty. I am very concerned about modding my car. I dont plan on doing any major performance mods, other than intake, SSTT, and exhaust, till my warranty is up. I understand where you're coming from, but I think exhaust will be fine. Dont do somethign if it makes you uneasy tho!

Send a message via AIM to darkphantom
go w/ some cosmetic upgrades + some air scoops (you can either DIY or buy the swoop scoops!)
