and about UR 2.5in pipes being more than enough for our cars... why not get the extra inch for AROUND the same price? if im gonna buy something im gonna buy the best version I can get.. am i wrong?

What are the prices approximately on the catted version? And what relative gain in HP (I know its hard to really stick a figure on it all the time).

I agree but I have no problems with paying the extra 28 bucks to wrap them and spray them with high temp silicone spray.
This is what I did before I installed my catless DPs.
All it does is cool down the engine bay a bit.
I just figured...why not?

Just FYI what we sell is not a $28 high temp silicone or spray paint. We have a company professionally apply a ceramic coating that actually bonds to the metal and will provide much better results than a spray. The coatings reduce radiant heat from the downpipes significantly

I didn't mean to sound like I was implying that you did.
I was just saying that for me, I had the time and opportunity to go out and pay about 28 bucks for some high temperature thermal wrap and silicone spray. I wrapped them myself and sprayed them down before I installed them.
The wrap does the same as far as keeping in the heat, and the silicone spray helps protect against the water and debris that the wrap can pick up.
Of course, what you are providing is much better since there is no wrap that gets corroded.
I was just giving my experiences with what I have done.

hmm im not sure that either of your heat shielding methods would really help much LOL in terms of gains or safety anyway...

I was going to go with the black pipes but... cant see any advantage lol

dont know why anyone wouldnt get DPs from AR design if theyre going catless... i cant imagine having to weld a pipe onto my exhaust for downpipes to fit = x

also alot of people on here are leasing, easy to reverse... can pop the stock dps back on
