company put me in freaking yakima for 2+weeks so i guess i missed all the action... how's it?

You go through Yakima to get to the Tri-Cities? Why, man?! Take the Vantage Highway instead!

Let's just say that I've heard a "best time" of 1 hour 50 minutes early one Sunday morning many years ago via this route.....

really how slow was that guy going? cuz it says that it takes almost 4 hours to get to that way... how about pigs? lots of farms around or none? i wouldent like to be biten... kaprenday???

Ive been there. The area that is around it is shady and wierd as well

My average time running that route is 2.5 hours. Why Google Maps thinks it takes almost 4 is beyond me. I got a speeding ticket on the 82 in the past, but never on the Vantage.....

No pigs. A few fields, but most of the space around the Vantage highway is DOE land. Late night is the best time. You can see headlights for miles in the distance.

I did have a bird strike in my friend's Subaru many years ago at 110 MPH. It hit right near the top of the roof/windshield interface. I got lucky. Had that bird been any lower, it probably would have shattered the windshield big time.
