Power106 listeners: upset about the Universal City Nissan Ad being displayed? - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

You may have noticed if you are listening to Power106, besides the artist, track title, and station id, they are displaying advertisements for Universal City Nissan while songs are playing.

It upsets me a great deal to look down and see my head unit being used as a billboard for advertising, rather than the information it should displaying EXCLUSIVELY (artist, track, station).

I called Power106 and of course, this is the first complaint of the sort they've had, as it is fairly new. Anyone else annoyed by this?

i dont listen to that station and i prolly wouldnt care...but i could see how some people would get butt hurt

wow that's annoying. i haven't realized that as most of the time i listen to my ipod or CD.. that's so annoying!!!

i noticed this last week as well, but i didn't get overly upset about it.. if you want the track name or artist, check out power106.com for their playlist..

not annoyed enough to call & complain..that's something my grandma would do, not worth it! the economy is shit, i'm sure radio stations are struggling regardless of how big power is..they need to pay the bill's somehow

Lol i only listen to radio in the morning and thats cuz i like the talking... not on power though. But ya now that you put it as them using your head unit for advertising it is annoying.

I turned off RDS so it doesn't show the ads.
