e93 recall - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

Had mine booked in for one hour service this week. Then they rang me to say they would need it all day to replace all injectors as part of a recall. Anyone else have this? What was the problem? WIll I notice any difference?

Had mine in last week, service had no idea why the recall. This is the second set of injectors due to recall in 6 months. I did have 1 fail at 200mls and just the 1 replaced, April 2007.

One of my injectors failed at about 2k miles - BMW assist guy replaced it on the spot in 30 minutes. He seemed to think failed injectors was not uncommon. Didn't mention a recall though.

Why would that be an 'e93' recall as opposed to a general e9X recall?

It only seems to affect 325i 'verts. At the time the E92 325i were fitted with the 2.5 litre engine. The 325i 'verts were given the detuned 330 engine (3 litre).

It appears to be this particular low output 3 litre engine that is getting the injector re-call's

Don't know why though?
