This kid is supposedly saying his G37S is a killer, i smell bullshit. Its a v6 for gods sake and has no torque, i thought fully bolt on e46 m3's run high 12's and the e46 m3 is much lighter and has LSD.......please tell me what u think. The fastest time on dragtimes is 13.7, but that is a stock car........i dont know, but we were thinking of doing a possible run att he track........... |

Used to own a G35, modded it up the a$$ short of going FI, never ran faster than a 13.9....
Even a TT G35 could prob. run no faster than 12.9... G37 is only slightly faster...no way its running 12.2 unless its on teh bottle |

He's got something else. Stock they'll do mid to high 13's. With tune (not much on a NA car), intake, exhaust he'd probably be in the 13.2 range. Add the headers he has, and MAYBE a 12.9 BTW, only BMW doesn't give their "normal" cars LSD's The G37S has an LSD, as does most $30K+ performance cars. Maybe someday BMW will see the light and not feel only M cars are worthy of an LSD. When you could get an LSD on a $21K Neon SRT-4 4 years ago a $45K BMW should surely have one. He's definitely spraying to get a 12.2 He's one of those lying idiot tools I was explaining to you about that's now bragging about his time but not telling the truth about his mods. It's a sad life when people have to lie in order to brag and make themselves feel good. |

Theres no way a G37 even with every NA mod imaginable would break 13s....
Unless they ran aggressive cams and a stroker kit (increasing displacement and port/polish)...but even then PERHAPS a 13.0... I'm talking about intake, plenum, headers, TB, exhaust, even a tune That engine simply does NOT respond well to breather mods, unless you spend the $$ and get a supercharger or turbocharger. OR you get on teh bottle. The G35/G37 although a sexy car IMHO, is simply not fast, EVEN with FI it can barely get into the low 12s... |

I also had both a 350Z and G35 with an ecu, hi flow cats, intake, plenum, etc. and never did any better than 13.9 in the 1/4 mile. With my V3 I've done 12.5 which is better than I did in my modded 300ZXTT that put down about the same hp.
He must be using NOS, and if he is, he may give you a run for the money. |

502rwhp on a DynoDynamics. Not able to get low 12s? Riiiiight. A lot of FI'd VQ engines simply destroy Z06's. Theres a vid on this site somewhere. Yes, without a turbo kit, no way does it get a 12.2 in 1/4 mile.

there is one guy here that was popping out 12.5-7 on 19'' street tires with his twin turbo g35. stock motor, just turbo kit with ~350hp/tq. also, a bone stock one hitting 13.5. the car is more than capable of doing mid 13's stock. maybe its just a hard car to drive? the guy who did 13.5 wasn't the owner(owner couldn't get past 14.2) and the driver swap was done on the same night. those motors can be very impressive when tuned/modded right even with the stock block, especially on the top end. but i do agree, 12.2 n/a with those cars i simply . why is it when guys shooting nitrous tend to lie about it? teri
