Legal to get two tint tickets at once?

Got pulled over today at NY for tints and i live in NJ.

The cop was being a total dick for some reason and gave me tint tickets for %25 tints. Had some kinda radar thing they put on my windows.

But odd thing was he gave me two summons and both ticket is for tints....

Is this legal to give me same ticket for same offense on same date and time?

I dont really mind paying $100 each for the ticket but if i can get away with it i would prefer that..

i don't think that its legal AT ALL, wtf thats just so stupid and unreasonable, then cops would be giving 2 speeding tickets all the time, call the court and file against them or something, because i am pretty sure they can't do that and btw this is what my friends do on tinting tickets, they get one tint ticket, pay it and then keep the ticket in the car and next time cop pulls them over he shows the ticket that he got the first time and he will let you go thats what they said, i am not sure if its 100 % true but you could try

John, go to court and have it at least reduced to one ticket and pay that one off. The cop was probably having a bad day (but like all Bergen cops, they are still cocks).

btw, were you driving down river road in edgewater on saturday? I think i saw your car

two of the same tickets is not a problem as far as taking car of one of them...The only thing is you need to appear in court to eliminate one of them...The cop basically know this and screwed you...Also if you want both of them taken cared of with one of them reduced, you need to show pictures of your car with tints taken off!!! I know that sucks but expect to pay at least one of them if you plead guilty...

Wrong. Guess the laws in LA are different.

One ticket per window here in NY.

I got pulled over today too for tints in NYC. I ended up getting out of it because I have an NYPD family member badge from my uncle. But the strange thing is I was supposed to have 35% tints on the car and when he put the meter on the window it came back as 25%. They should have only given you one ticket for the fronts but may have given you tickets for both the front and rear windows. My brother got 2 sets for front and rears a couple months ago. You can fight the rear ticket because every SUV comes from the factory will limo tint on them, so you are allowed to have the rears tinted to whatever you want. You can also get a note from a doctor stating that you have sensitive eyes and you need the tint for medical reasons. This will get you out of both tickets and you will never get another tint ticket again. Just keep the doctors note with you.

the glass itself is tinted... my S60R with huper optik 30 (35%) rang the meter at 26-27%

i have a friend thats NYPD, he's give up to five in a stop, but the driver was being a real dick. they'll usually only give two, one per front window, depends on if its highway patrol or local cops.
