ar design needs your help! looking for people who bought our downpipes from 3rd party
Hey gang,
We have been fighting a number of fraudulent online orders. Thanks to PayPal/Credit Cards fantastic lack of fraud prevention and detection, a few got through and shipped. I believe the majority of them are coming from one person in Miami, FL. He has purchased 2-3 sets of downpipes from us under different aliases and with different stolen credit cards, and re-selling them. If you have bought a set of downpipes second hand/from someone other than us, PLEASE post up, send me a PM, or email me. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated in tracking this scumbag down. I have submitted an official complain with the FBI ICS, and am also working with PayPal to get this guy nailed. Anyone who can provide legitimate or definitive info that helps us bring this guy down will get 20% off ANY order, or a $100 cash reward. We are losing thousands of dollars on this, and I am determined to bring this dirt bag down. Your help is again GREATLY appreciated! Thanks!

Shame to hear. Fraud is one of the biggest downsides of running an online business - but it is pretty much a cost of doing business. Best of luck in getting this guy!
Also, I would be VERY appreciative if you could post up the IP address so we can IP ban him from our site. JL |

Not trying to make any false accusations here. This is just a recent thread that stuck out in my mind. I didnt read through the thread so I don't know where they were purchased. could very well be legit.

Yeah, WTH? I followed that link earlier today and a certain forum sponsor member from Maimi FL said they had another set of AR DP's available for sale. Now, I don't see that post in that thread anymore (clearly it was deleted.) I remember the name of the member though..... May be nothing, but it sure seems coincidental, given the evidence from AR noted above....

C'mon now, I have some really good friends in Miami! There are dirtbags everywhere, but Miami does seem to have a higher concentration than normal....

Best of luck getting this worked out... its definitly a hard thing for vendors to deal with.
Hmm, I had a guy order some stuff from me from Miami florida, but Google Checkout rejected his credit card for "fraudulent activity"... they have GREAT fraud review from what I have seen so far. Could just be coincidence... but... not a single fraudulent order has slipped through... it catches them ALL... and there is more than you would think... lots of people try to use stolen cards, its crazy... I've rejected close to 20 orders because of google's fraud checks. Hope you get your money back!!! Paypal is on my shitlist... I avoid them at all costs... I've lost too much money from paypal's crap in the past, and it seems that its only getting worse for sellers... The problem with paypal is that they have almost zero "rights" for sellers... a fraudulent buyer can buy something from you via paypal... and then who does paypal punish? --The seller!!!! ridiculous. www.paypalsucks.com |

Google has even rejected my own card on my own purchase before. I called the website, and they said it was fraud. I faxed them my license, CC, everything, and they processed my order manually.
I have had the most shitty service with PayPal, I have several stories. Owning an eBay business sucks, because that is what 95% of buyers use to pay people, it is totally safe for buyers. |
