Stevens Creek BMW San Jose alarm installation price WTF????

Just got quoted a little over 1200.00 for installation of a BMW alarm in my 09 E93. Extra labor and parts because of "4 special sensors" in the hardtop convertible and it takes all day to program. BMW of Mountain View is closed but I will be calling them tomorrow. This is my first brush with BMW service. Is this how its going to be?

i dont know what the parts cost for the convt but that seems a little high... I also have no installed one in a convt so i dont know what is involved in the labor unfortunately... Call around to your other local dealers and get some quotes.
