order 335i ED now, get it in December?

One dealer told me if I ordered the car today for ED, it would be ready for pickup end of October &
would get here mid December(including 7 days driving in Europe)! That's 4 months wait.
Does this sound right? Could it be that this dealer has sold out all their ED allocations?

Dealers don't have "ED" allocations. It's not a 4 month wait - you get your car end of October. That would be 2.5 months. It's your car after that.

If you want to get an earlier delivery in Freimann, have the dealer check for any slots that are available sooner.

I placed my 'pre-reservation' along with the $500 deposit last Wednesday morning and I received confirmation for the October 9 pickup date this morning (after just three working days).

My sales advisor told me that I had to choose a pickup date (at that time no earlier then October 4) and BMWNA would confirm if it was doable. Unless there has been a surge in the orders I would think that you are looking at a mid-October pickup.

It's typical for West Coast re-deliveries to take 7-8 weeks after you drop off the car, so mid-Dec. is very reasonable. Also the typical trip across the pond down the coast, across the Carribean, into the PC and up the Pacific into PH takes about 27-days. Fastest trips maybe 25.

I doubt that they would be able to schedule a pickup much sooner than 10/08 and if you keep it for 7 days, now you're in the middle of October, factor in 7-8 weeks till it hits your dealer and I think they're right on the money
