Why not get them to do a run out test of your broken wheel, your non broken wheel and a new wheel out of a box in front of the judge!!!!!

Get as much publicity as possible, do as rede93cab suggested, all individuals with this problem sign up on watchdog, name and shame BMW
watchdog helped my dad out a coupla years ago when Cannon were trying to flease him out of a few grand. |

If everyone who has actually had this happen to them could submit to Watchdog and / or Which? then it would certainly help. I would also print out this thread so you can demonstrate to the Court that yours is not an isolated incident and that BMWs response to it is so disgusting it borders on criminal.

As posted before I am in a very similar position - 2 cracked rears on my e92. I am happy to be involved in any Watchdog/legal case, or whatever we can get going as a group. Lets get the information together and come up with a plan.
Cheers |

Thought I would post something on the European forum, one guy from Romania has a cracked alloy.
Will be interesting to see what European dealers are doing about them. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=202094

Regretful withdrawal
Chaps
Following my latest legal advice, I'll be withdrawing the claim. As mentioned earlier, I made an error in addressing it to BMW Group UK (which even though quoted on emails from them doesn't exist ) and therefore a surprise it didnt get struck out earlier. However, on reading the defence which should be attached you'll get the jist. I've been advised that to continue to pursue further I can land my self with a whole amount of grief and could incur BMW's costs, and that I should have gone legal with the supplying Dealer (Sytner Sheffield) in the first place. For all you out there with the same problem I'm sorry I couldnt get a satisfactory outcome, I just thought if I made enough fuss and caused enough inconvenience I may get my wheels paid for. I sense the scale of the problem means BMW will bury every claim. We know the score, the wheels are not goood enough for UK roads. I'd love to say I'll never buy another BMW, but I know I will! So have a read of their defence, It makes interesting reading ![]() ![]() Thank you everyone for your support Just leaves me to set up a new poll for what the old wheels should be used for, Plant pots, Christmas Decs, Coffee Table.... |

I still reckon you should all go to Watchdog, not going to cost financially only people's time, but they will be able to decide if it is worth pursuing. I remember something about Renault Clio bonnet catches they did sometime, and they got a result.

F'in tossers!!
![]() ![]() ![]() Everyone with broken wheels MUST go to watchdog - even if all it achieves is to name and shame, it will do them far more damage financially than paying for a few dozen broken wheels. I posted the link earlier in the thread....

I agree with every one watchdog is the only way to go.
BMW was at my local garage looking at two set of cracked wheels only rears funny that why dont the fronts crack too perhaps the pot hole get missed with the front.

I've hit a few pot holes and speed ramps in the last few days. Its always the front that takes the beating in my experience, not the rear!
Its also worth checking out what engines are having the problem. Is it just the 330 and 335's with more power/torque through the rears? |

I think we should do a poll on cracked 225
I think we should do a poll on cracked 225 ie if you have a car with 225 have they cracked or other answer yes i have 225 but not cracked as this will give us percentage of wheels cracking to number sold.
I think this is a problem for the UK as Msport kits where only sold in the UK as a option most other countries have to by all the option seperatly so cost a fortune
