It's like an Allen wrench except instead of a hexagonal shape it is a six pointed star. The "-20" refers to the size so it's best to get a complete set as HRC mentioned.

any tool kit from target with a decent number of pieced will have an assortment of torx sizes. A good tool kit is worth having around the house.

I think Torx is just the specfic brand. I don't know what this style bit is actually called, but they seem to have adopted the name "Torx." Similar to the way Americans use the work Kleenex when referring to tissue paper.

Anyways, I think the official Torx bit has a small hole/indentation on the tip added security measure so that official torx slots will require the offical torx bit.

I think that those type of screw heads require special T-XX tips so people can't easily remove them. I think they're supposed to work like one way screws in a sense so people have a hard time removing screws.
Torx is a branding name much like Phillips (star) and Allen (hex)

If you do get a set, get handles and just bits for use in a socket driver or something.
I know when I tried to remove the screws for my navi, I couldn't use my handle ones and I had to use my bit set with an angled adapter
