100,000mile plugs?

My '07 e90 335 has 46,000miles on it and the service light came on. I took it to the dealership and they said it was calling for sparkplugs. My service advisor said he thought it was an error and that the plugs were supposed to be 100,000mile plugs. He said he confirmed it with the techs. Thus, they did not change my plugs. Is this correct?

I would be astonished on two fronts if it was an error... One if the car is giving a code for something typically in most cases it is necessary. Secondly, having owned a handful of turbo charged cars, having good clean well performing plugs is a must and I replaced them all the time in my turbo S2000 and big turbo DSM. I would try another dealership if one is close by.

Best,

Tony

I'm confused by the double negative. Does that mean that they should be due? ...or is it just a typo that they shouldn't be due? Source?

Thanks for the assistance.

he means plugs not due. it could be cbs data flaw but who knows. due to BMWNA standards a dealer cannot replace plugs in the car if the mileage is not within range of the maintenance. probably just a flaw with cbs.

Thanks. I trust my SA and that is what he said. I just wanted to get another opinion to confirm it.
