They are obviously not standard dynojet numbers. They would have to try really hard to get that little power gain.

Night and Day compared to Stock. I can break traction in 1st ,2nd gear. Not sure why I got low numbers. I posted a link to the place I dynoed at.

305hp on that type of dynojet (248H) at 18% automatic drivetrain loss = 372hp = Stage 2

It would make even more if the dyno was the loadable type. The torque/load management DMEs like MSD80/81 won't try as hard when the load is low such as seen on an interial drum dyno. Hence why it feels so great on the street!

That's just a normal 248 Dynojet. Reads just like the rest unless is purposely miscalibrated for some reason.

I'm still waiting for good dyno numbers from ESS.

You can break the tires loose in first quite easily stock, and I get the DTC flashing like crazy in second with a $400 JB+/DCI setup.

I would like to see some acceleration numbers to back up the "372bhp" claim, which is impossibly high for a 305whp car.

stock dyno numbers

Just got off the phone with the owner of the shop I dynoed at. They have had one other 335i on their dyno. It was also an auto and stock. His numbers were :

263 hp
273 tq

So if I use these numbers as my base number , I have gains of:

+42 hp
+32 tq

I'm a little disappointed The owner said it is hard to get accurate numbers with an auto. Not sure what other people's experiences are with auto's.

Without knowing baseline numbers, this is useless speculation.

Same dyno, the results won't be that much different between cars ~10whp... especially when the numbers are corrected. Even a best case scenario, it's still way underperforming

I called a local tuner(Phantasm) here in Raleigh who has a dynojet to see if they have dynoed any 335i's. They have done a few with vishnu tune. When they get back from lunch, I'll see if they can give me some of their numbers. I would like to get my car on another dyno to see if the numbers change significally.

Don't believe there's an 18% drivedrain loss on the 6AT. Going back years of discussion now, most agreed on approx. 15% drivetrain loss for the 6AT and approx. 12% drivetrain loss on the 6MT for the rear-wheel drive 335i's.
