Any Tint Removal HookUps - Need To Remove Tint

Previous owner had tinted my car, I think 75% all around or something. It doesn't serve any purpose, and I might as well take it off. Anyone have any hook ups to take off my tint for cheap. Looking to pay $30-$40 max. They have to know what they are doing, don't want any trouble with my heat elements in the window. Let me know!

good luck finding anyone to do for 30 bucks!! Having spent about a year tinting though, go buy a bottle of ammonia and black trash bags. Spray the ammonia on the rear window and stick the black trash bags to the inside of the window on a hot sunny day. Let it sit for 3-4 hours and the tint will come right off. There will still be glue residue that you'll need a non abrasive sponge to get off. If you are looking for the cheap way out, you're gonna be doing it yourself!! PITA BTW when it comes to removing the glue.

Good luck

Reason, I put the price at where it was is on Ciragslist there are 10000 business offering to tint cars for $80-$100 with good films and life time warranty. I figured, since I'm only taking it off at half the price, it was very fair.

Well, there is your problem. You are browsing through Craig's List. I am not an advocate for tinting business but you need to go check out the professional tinting shops. Most should be very clean and in enclosed area ( i.e. garages) to minimize the dust, dirt, etc. from getting on the tint. The people offering the $100 tint will show up at your house and do the tint in your driveway or in the street using the tint bought from Walmart. Not a good thing. Most professional tint shops will charge $30 to $60 per window to remove the tint. I do not have tint on my jet black\ black leather interior. Sometimes I wish I did but have not gotten it b\c I do not want to deal with the removal when I get a ticket from the lazy f*&%$ troopers.

from what i know, tint removal can actually cost more than the tinting job. The reason is the rear window because of the defogger lines. If you want any chance of saving *SOME* of the lines i would recommend professionals because i did it myself before and ruined half of the defogger line thus causing me to just replace the window. Getting the tint off of the side windows is a piece of cake but the glue can get everywhere too. Good luck wherever you go.
