I dont care how inexperienced the driver is at the track, it is an automatic. Even if he doesnt hook up, his trap will not be 110 if its the s/c E55.
Never underestimate the stupidity of certain individuals... That said, he should be trapping 115+ stock but I do not deny the possibility that Mercedes built a bad apple

A fully worked 335i with ecu, intake and exhaust work should make it close enough for either to win...
The 2.00 map had about 400-420hp and 470tq... the 2.02 has more like 390-400hp, 410-420tq. I don't think anyone got a drag run in with 2.00 but that is the map I was running when I pulled an sl55 from 70 or 80 up to 140 by about 2 car lengths (I got the second production V2 when it came out).

2.02 is a better all around map, no limps, more linear, better bottom end, but 2.00 made a lot of tq for a 3,500 lb car. The sl55 is what, 4,100lb+ with its hard top convert? It surprised and excited me to beat him trust me! Also beat an 06 (400hp) c6 vette with that map by the way.

E55 are fast after 80mph. my sstt 335i can hold my uncles down until then. he begins to pull from there. even on a roll i can hold it for a second then u starts to pull hard. race from a dig not from a roll with the AMG's.

Speeding tickets and high cost of insurance.

Wow, old thread brought up... reminds me of when I ran against a pulley, tune, exhaust manifold and throttle body E55 - he trapped 125+ and he was on street tires and his launch was like 2.1 or 2.2. After seeing that, I'm considering a used E55. He told me he can easily spin his tires at highway speeds.
