I love hunting for SRT8s. No matter what the outcome, they are usually stunned by how fast my silent, stock looking 335i is.

Easy... The srt8 is over rated..i think...probably 400hp not 425hp

I have beat Viper 2002-2003 by 1 1/2 car between 65 mph to 145 mph last tuesday ( and 4 times...each time same result)...imagine srt8

i ran one once - stopped pulling on him as my car was banging the 130mph limiter...

lets just say he didn't look happy.

actually (I own both cars--and this is my second srt8) they are under-rated. I think they are more like 435-440. They dyno in the 375-382 range-stock. They typically run 13.1-13.3 in decent DA if driven by a moderately decent driver. They always look slow at the track because they have to be feathered on launch. with just a handheld tune they are 12.7-12.8, and on DRs--12,5 or better.

However-beware--contrary to the BS you read on this and other forums--they are not slow and in fact--(as one previous poster pointed out--from 70 roll up- LOOK OUT)

Having said all that--with your mods, from a dig or low speed roll--you will win. Just don't take him on from 60-70 roll--then its gonna get interesting.
Now-when he gets your mods (tune, intake, etc...) you will have a match.

I run mine against each other all the time--I speak the truth with no vested interest- If anyone wants to see a vid-let me know (have posted it before)

Curious Mike... Maybe because at track only 13.1 at 108mph...not very impressive...

anyway my friend have a Challenger srt8...I will try with him very soon on the highway. 30-145, 60-145 and 100-145. I will speak about the results here.

Oh and for info...against the viper the race is neck to neck 65-115 and I pull 1 1/2 car on him after that (I stop at 145 because limiter

) But see the face driver of Viper...

The guys is very confused...

It's like 4.7 to 60 and mid 13's 1/4 mile. With a JB3 you will take him without a doubt, especially if you are automatic as no real room for error.
