Need Help...with wheels.

Sorry, I have read other post on this but I want to make sure.
Will these wheels be ok, or do I have to get new tires. I have a 2008 335xi with 17's.

19x8.5 front, 19x10 back
245/35/19 front, 275/30/19 rear

Thanks in advance.

That tire combo is no good.

The difference in the rotating diameter is at 1%. The maximum difference for an Xi vehicle is 1%.

Running right on the high end of the limit is a risk in my opinion.

The best set of wheels are

235/35/19 Front
275/30/19 Rear

The rotating diameter difference with this set is only 0.1% which is pretty much 0% difference. Much safer.

Yea.. you are driving non-staggered which is fine.

However OP is putting a staggered setup on his car which means having a rotating diameter difference between fronts and rears of no more than 1% (high end) is allowed.

Garage List
2007 E92  [2.50]
depending on offset and suspension setup, 275s may rub in the rear. This is the reason many go with 235/35 up front and 265/30 in the rears

Ok, I am currently using this setup and there is no rub because I am on stock suspension. Im really trying not to buy new tires if not needed. What would be the affects if I continue to use this setup?

Thanks again.

Well with that set up you are at 1.01% differance. since that is right at the maxium limit, you will be putting a little more stress on the transfer case, and might trigger a DSC fault. I would really recommend to get a set of 235/35R19 for the front. Then you will have a .08% difference.

You do have an increase risk of blowing the AWD transfer case.
Keeping the difference below 1% is fine by BMW. I guess the margin of error they set was 1%.
