My car is being flatbeded tp the dealer Monday morning.

So I am off to work around 10:30 am today. I fill up with $20 worth of gas (Citgo) & I was around 30 miles left to empty. Anyway around 10 minutes later while slowly driving thru the Sunpass booth on the parkway my check engine lite is lit. Then as I am starting to accelerate my car feels much slower. So I continue to drive (very slowly) & call BMW roadside assistance to have my car flatbeded to my local dealer this afternoon. This just totally screwed up my day Anyway I guess I won't find out the problem till tomorrow (had to happen on a Sunday) of all days

Same thing!!!

as i was driving back from palm springs today, my car overheated and i lossed power!

the BMW Assist roadside assistance representative was of ZERO help! he said he could NOT find where i was located with the GPS and with the freeway exit signs i gave him. he reluctantly agreed to have a tow truck driver meet me at a nearby business. but he said it was impossible that i was at that location.

we called AAA and they found where i was located in 1 minute! the tow truck driver for AAA drove us all the way to the dealer where i bought the car!

my car has 2000 miles on it and its dead! its a 2009 e92.

I am not sure if its related, but 2 days before, the +1 qt oil warning illuminated . i took the car to palm springs BMW, and they added oil for free. (AGAIN, the car has 2000 miles on it!)

Hmm hope they won't try to blame you since you had a "near empty" tank.. I thought I read somewhere that there is some clause regarding fuel level in the warranty?

As it eneded up being the HPFP (had a feeling it may have been that). Anyway everything is working fine & car feels as brand new & running a lil bit smoother I might add. Could not have been any more happier

LOL!

Thats so sad.

Mine started acting up at 4k miles.

I now have 7k and it's still running but a few times a month the car will crank for a while before it starts.
I am also throwing the HPFP code when I scan the car, so Im sure the problem is there.

fortunately my hpfp did not have a chance to fail. my dealer gave me a new one while I was in getting regular maintenance done. i was surprised that they did it without me asking.

Its crazy. What happens when our cars are out of warranty after 50k? Is BMW going to keep replacing these past the 50k mark?
