Looks terrific, and as others have said the colour combo is well suited to the car. Hope you have many miles of joy from it.

WOW - Awesome
And as for too many doors - I dont think so (I prefer 4 doors and the M3 Saloon is simply the coolest of the lot) I remember when you posted about which spec to get - seems it didnt take long to get delviered. Tim

Looks smart.
Why spec it with DCT ? Did you test drive one before deciding on that ? Think I would still prefer the direct feel of an old school move-it-myself manual in an M3, or full-blown auto as in my 335D But, I haven't experienced the DCT yet. How are you finding it ? D.

Chris, we agree on something!!! Quote:
Dave, I had not driven the M3 DCT, only the manual. I am so so pleased I went for it. The gearchanges are phenomenal. In comfort setting it pulls off in second and for round driving makes the car feel like a 'normal auto' - you can be quitre agrressive with the throttle and it makes 'sensible' gear changes. However, notch the settings up a little and the gearchanges become a lot more sporty. For example on the motorway today doing 60mph in 7th, with the DCT settings up to numer 4 or 5, flooring the throttle knocks the box from 7th to 4th and boy does she fly! A normal auto needs to work down through each gear, where the DCT doesn't. A spirited drive along some 60mph B roads yesterday in manual mode using the paddles felt very involved. Maybe even more so than a manual/clutch arrangement, as the gearchanges are so immediate and you have both hands on the wheel at all times. Even mid corner knocking up or down a gear does not upset it at all as there is no delay between each gear. I really recommend anyone buying an M3 to drive a DCT boxed car before making their mind up on a manual. It really does give you the best of both worlds. Quote:
Just the right number of doors for me Calvin Sitting on the drive with bugger all fuel in! Will be collected on wed for the lease company and prob taken to B'ham car auctions. Quote:
Lets show Stafford a proper meet eh Thanks Gordon, be you next!!! Bet you can't wait |

Very very nice mate, cant add anything except that I think the M3 is one of the best looking cars to come in the now ever so popular white - still looks better than its Audi equivalents etc and of course, I want one but I couldnt live with so little torque...

Agree Helen, although I am basing my view on 'just' VW group DSG (not the PDK ) - speed of change is amazing and you seem to feel a bit more connected than a slush.
