I imported a Nissan 240SX (comparable to the local Nissan 200SX) in 1993. UK Nissan wouldn't honour the warranty. If there was any warranty work needed I had to pay it myself and then try to get reimbursed from Nissan USA. Fortunately I never had to go that route.

The biggest issue I encountered with insurance was the company charging the premium as if it were a UK vehicle but come time to pay out a claim would be prejudice to the car and offer only token reimbursement, sometimes to the tune of only 10% of the value. Imagine being paid out only 3000 for a 30K car when your premiums have been full coverage. That never happened to me but it did to a friend.

am guessing you mean grey import as opposed to an offical Nissan Uk import. If it is a grey import that AFAIK Nissan Uk have no obligation to provide any warranty.

UK official cars may have slightly different specs, and this may include things like a speed limiter but to be honest not sure

Uk version of gt-r is out steve. Godzilla one at the ring was a uk model. You don't want an import, as everything is in japaneese.

Steve

i had a 3500 deposit on the GTR in apr 09. I pulled out for many reasons.

The firswt batch of UK cars presently being delivered have no SAT nav or bluetooth. The car being delivered from October this year will have so the first batch of non sat nav car imo will pill lots of cash.

Nissan have said if you turn the traction control off your warranty is void....

Nissan have said if you do a track day your warranty is void. ( i presume the system knows where you are)......

All european spec car DO NOT have launch control as using LC frys the clutches etc so to stop any claims NISSAN have removed this feature.

All this from a car that was honed at the NURBURGRING and all its press is about how good it s on track.

WHAT A COMPLETE LOAD OF ARSE BISCUITS.

I will never buy one ( and i really love the car)

Steve A is right, UK cars do not come with Launch control now...

The warranty was only void if Laucn control was used, nothing to do with Traction control being disabled.

But not to worry, as UK cars do not come with it now.

Only the first few imports did.
